Foodies' walking tours of Edinburgh
Eat walk Edinburgh tours have at least five food tasting stops with three also having a drink tasting. As you walk between venues your guide will talk about the history of the Old and New towns of Edinburgh. The food served at the stops are tasting plates. But some reviews on Tripadvisor say they felt they had a full meal by the end of the tour.
If you are looking for things to do in Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city, that are slightly different, then why not try one of our Foodie sightseeing tours. Dropping into some first class restaurants, bars and shops. Meeting local people who enthuse about what they, Edinburgh and Scotland have to offer in food and drink.
These walking tours take you through the historical heart of the city while allowing you the time to sample food and drink from some of Edinburgh’s unique restaurants, shops and bars. Between premises your guide will point out interesting sights of the city and give advice on other places to visit after your tour is over.
On our unique tours you will enjoy the quirky history of the city while sampling food and drink in five venues on the journey. This breaks up the walk into 10-15 minutes segments with seating and toilet facilities available at most of the stops.
We have chosen from some of the best restaurants, bars and shops in Edinburgh, but have only scratched the surface of what Edinburgh has to offer. The locations chosen are unusual and many have a story to tell in their own right. The majority of places we visit you will enjoy Scottish hospitality but we do throw in one or two surprises along the way.
We have two walking routes to offer, one mid morning and the other is available in the afternoon or early evening.
The Old & New Town tour starts at 1.00pm finishing around 4.30pm Monday to Saturday and providing five food tastings with a beer, gin and malt whisky tastings. This tour is also available early evening Monday to Thursday 5pm to 8.30pm.
The Canongate Brunch tour starts at 10am finishing around 1pm. It is packed with interesting sights and tastes including a cocktail, breakfast canapes, beer tasting with cheese board, plus a whole lot more. This tour has six stops.
The timings are approximations as the tour can run over if people are enjoying themselves too much.
We can organise private tours on request and fine tune these to your own particular choices. Please email for further information. firstname.lastname@example.org
